While "Twiggy" raises a good point, from MY own experience, environment is really key. But 17,000 more? Wtf? Please tell me what I'm doing wrong here. But yeah, I'd probably go with the extra dolla dolla bills...

It depends on how much and how immediate the room for growth is. Also, if advertising is the career you want and you know you will be able to quickly move up in the company to a position that you want, then go for it since this is the time to start over. You don't want to end up 5 years from now, still making $47,000 at a company you hate feeling like you've gotten nowhere. However, be wary of "young, hip" companies attempting to take advantage of your free labor because they want you to romanticize working for them.

i'd say ad agency. who needs $17,000 more anyway? what's a single young person to do with all that money? so i know how much my own $$$ is going to me. much less than i had suspected. almost $10K less. live in poverty like me. it's fun.
